The Last for April's Card Kit - Sorry it's late!!!

Oh wow! It's been a while since I added those last couple of posts, I need to add the last four pix.  Especially since the next parcel has arrived with the new May Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp!!

I'll be unboxing and starting to craft with them this weekend - if I have some free time, but for now - here's the last four pix from April's card kit!!

Hope you liked them!?

Cheers
Karen :)

Snapshots of a Happy Life!

Ain't that the truth - especially after the weekend we've just had as a family.  One of my children now has a different surname to the rest of our family.  That's so strange to me.  Wonder how long it'll be before I stop thinking of her as Melanie Coulter?

Anyway, here's another couple of pix of two more of the 10 from one card kit I managed last week.

The group shot first, and then the two separate pix.  Hope you like!

And the individual pictures in close up.

The last four pix will appear in the next couple of days. Yes, I know, I'm dragging this out! LOL

Ciao!
Karen :)

Four Cards from the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit

Okay, I'll confess, I am addicted to YouTube and card creations on there. My nightly routine is curling up in bed with my Samsung Tablet and watching that day's latest uploads from my favourite crafters.  The majority of them are Stampin' Up! demo's but I also like watching Nicole, Kristina, Julie and Laura - anyone who is a crafter should recognise these names - even without surnames.
There's also the European crafters: Julia Altermann, and one I have been watching closely when looking at the newest Simon Says Stamp card kit releases is Vicki Papaioannou.
The last couple of months she has been doing a "10 Cards from one Kit" demo on YouTube with the December, January, March and April card kits.
It's because of Vicky that I have had such fun this last week.

I have been flat out preparing for my eldest daughters wedding (which happens tomorrow 16th April), and needed some much needed stress relief.  My April card kit from SSS arrived in the mail on Monday morning.  I only allowed myself a quick sticky-beak (peek) into the box to look at the goodies held within, before heading back to make my youngest daughters bridesmaids dress.

But by Monday night, I was desperate for some 'me' time, so I headed to the craft room with my SSS box tucked under my arm.

Below you will see four of the 10 cards I made that night.  I had Scorpion to watch/listen to, while I crafted.  Before I knew it, I had all 10 cards made and I was really pleased with how they all turned out.

The first four cards.  All cut to US size of 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

Some of the cardstock I cut on the horizontal and some on the vertical, so I had a variety of layouts to work with.

I still have tonnes of stickers and ephemera in the box, but I used a lot on the cards as you can see.

Here are close ups of the four cards in the picture above:

I'll upload some more of the cards in the coming days.  But for now, I'm going to head off to bed, to get some much needed beauty sleep, before I appear as Mother of the Bride, tomorrow. :)

Hope you like these.

Cheers
Karen :)

Opening Blog Post!

Normally I post on my blog directly on my website, but because this is a non Stampin' Up! product, I didn't want to confuse the issue, so I have decided to use this old Blogger site that I originally was going to post from.
This makes it easier to keep to the DoLallyCrafts names, but not where it can confuse which products can be purchased here - since no can, this is purely to showcase what I have created with my Simon Says Stamp card kits.
I joined the Simon Says Stamp card kit release at the beginning of the year, but haven't had a chance to play with them, until the last week or so.  Tho my 11 yo DD used the February Card Kit to make a Valentines Day card for her crush at school. LOL
Anyway, over the coming weeks you will be able to see what I have created here, from the SSS kits, and if you would like to purchase them - simply go to Simon Says Stamp and order your own. :)
